Group handled 3.3 million passengers in December 2025, up 9.3% year-on-year.
Vienna Airport saw 2.5 million passengers in December, a 6.1% increase, with local passengers up 6.3%.
Malta Airport's December traffic rose 19.9%, and Košice Airport's by 43.7%.
Market Dynamics and Route Developments
Expanded offerings to Asia and the Middle East drove significant passenger growth, with Far East traffic up 21.2% and Middle East up 10.6%.
Austrian Airlines increased market share, while Ryanair remained stable and Wizz Air saw a decline.
Wizz Air will exit Vienna in March 2026, and Ryanair is reducing capacity, impacting low-cost traffic by about 3 million passengers.
Growth from other airlines and new routes is expected to partially offset low-cost carrier reductions, with new destinations and increased frequencies announced for 2026.
Top new long-haul routes included Bangkok, New York, and Taipei.
