21 Jan, 2026Strategic transformation and organizational reset
Announced a comprehensive reset to reclaim creative leadership, agility, and sustainable growth, structured around a new operating model, a refocused portfolio, and accelerated cost reduction initiatives.
Introduced five specialized Creative Houses, each with full creative and financial ownership, organized by genre and brand, supported by a Creative Network and Core Services.
Headquarters reshaped to focus on strategy, governance, and capital allocation, supporting all Creative Houses.
In-person collaboration will be emphasized, with a return to five days per week on-site to boost efficiency and creativity.
Portfolio and operational changes
Portfolio refocus includes discontinuing six games, including Prince of Persia The Sands of Time remake and four unannounced titles, and reallocating resources to core franchises and new IPs.
Additional development time allocated to seven games, including a delayed unannounced title now planned for FY27, to ensure quality and maximize long-term value.
Several studios will be closed or restructured, and resources reallocated to core value-creating activities.
Four new IPs are in development, with further details to be announced.
The revised roadmap aims to strengthen the position in open-world and next-gen experiences.
Cost reduction and organizational efficiency
Accelerated cost reduction program targets at least €100 million in fixed cost savings by March 2026, one year ahead of schedule.
New objective to reduce fixed costs by an additional €200 million over two years, totaling around €500 million in reductions since FY2022-23.
Studio closures and restructurings implemented to streamline operations and align with strategic priorities.
Considering potential asset divestitures to further streamline operations.
