Investor Update summary
28 Nov, 2025Product performance and trial results
AusPozz metakaolin demonstrated high reactivity, low cost, and a carbon footprint of 200 kg/tonne, significantly lower than cement's 900 kg/tonne.
Trials showed 20–40% cement replacement with AusPozz led to superior strength and durability in 40 MPa concrete, outperforming standard mixes at all time intervals.
Shrinkage and cracking were greatly reduced, with shrinkage stabilizing after 21 days, unlike standard concrete.
High-volume concrete mixes for demanding applications, such as wind farms, saw temperature differentials minimized, solving a major industry problem.
Shotcrete mixes benefited from reduced need for expensive accelerants and improved performance.
Market opportunity and competitive positioning
AusPozz is more reactive and cost-effective than imported metakaolin, which sells for over AUD 2,000/tonne.
The Australian market uses 10–11 million tonnes of cement annually, with potential for 20–40% replacement by AusPozz.
AusPozz can replace other costly additives like silica fume (AUD 800/tonne) and reduce accelerator use in shotcrete by half.
Domestic production offers a clear price and supply advantage over international competitors.
Commercialisation and partnerships
MoU with Holcim is progressing, with ongoing and expanded testing, including a recent large-scale demonstration.
Samples have been sent to all major Australian concrete producers and several international companies, including those in the Middle East, Europe, and the USA.
Interest from geopolymer concrete producers and other high-value product manufacturers is growing.
